Unidan Newsletter Issue No.1 - June 2016
Welcome to the First Edition of our Newsletter.
The past few months have been hectic here at Unidan. Iveco delivered an ML150 4×4 Eurocargo for Daryl Beattie Adventures. We were given the task of transforming this blank canvas into Australia’s toughest Adventure bike support vehicle – a first at Unidan. We worked on several projects including a Mercedes Benz Sprint Touring Bus. And we launched a new website complete with an online shop so now you can buy your Unimog parts and accessories online from Unidan. There is a lot more to come over the coming months. Enjoy the update!
STORIES IN THIS ISSUE:

CUSTOMISING YOUR TRUCK – SAVE $1,000’s!
To save money on any project you need to have a plan. Sit down with a pen and paper, write down your ultimate wish list and outline what you hope to achieve with your vehicle. It is far cheaper to start with a grand plan and work back to your budget than start with a budget with hope to achieve your grand plan. I have seen many customers buy random parts that actually need to be modified or replaced to achieve their vision of the ultimate truck. Through Unidan I have helped many customers save thousands in the long term by only fitting items that will complement the end result. We understand that everyone has a budget and a time frame and are happy to build projects in stages.
LOOKING TO BUY A UNIMOG?
We have some great Unimogs in stock at the moment so you will be spoilt for choice if you are in the market for one. And as it is coming up to end of financial year so there is always a deal to be done.
The Unidan Demo truck, a U1700 Doka, has all the bells and whistles and is currently priced at $170,000. It’s an awesome truck, top of its range and a bargain at its current price. I converted it from a single cab to a dual cab and made a heap of modifications. If you are in the market for a Unimog it deserves your consideration.
This U1300/37 is currently open to offers so if you are interested you need to call me. The owner is motivated to sell so a deal is waiting to be done. It’s a great truck and would suit a family or group of friends looking to venture off-road. A motor home body or slide on camper can be added if required.
For those looking to hit the road in a U1700 with slide on camper then check this out. A slide on camper is an ideal solution for both work and play.
If you are looking for a new project then you should check out this U1700L Unimog Crane Truck. It’s a blank canvas and we can help you transform it into something totally awesome.
Fancy a U1300 with Ambulance Body to tinker on in your spare time? I’ve just got my hands on one. Photos coming soon. Give me a call on 0414 899298 for more details.
DARYL BEATTIE ADVENTURE TOURS UPDATE
We built a huge support body on the back of an Iveco Eurocargo truck and the end result was epic. The sheer size of the body allows Darly Beattie to carry and store everything he needs to run his Adventure Tours in the Outback. He now has easy access to everything through built in drawers and shelves making life on the road and running his Adventure business a lot easier for him.
I’m back from 10 days in the Simpsons Desert. I had to see how the Eurocargo went on its first real test of the desert and it did not let us down. Of course the Desert is the perfect place for some two wheel action so it was out with the bikes and time to carve up the dunes. Daryl Beattie’s Adventures are designed to allow you experience some of the most remote and spectacular areas of Australia. Daryl is an ex-500cc MotoGP Champ and the lead bike rider. If you are interested in a similar trip jump on the website at www.darylbeatieadventures.com.au for more details.
OFF ROAD SAFARI ADVENTURES
We recently completed work on a Mercedes Sprinter 4×4 Tour Bus for Australian Off Road Safari Adventures. The project included single wheel conversion with 33 inch tires, heavy duty custom made rock sliders, custom bash plates/sump protection, fold out custom entry steps and scrub bars for roof protection. Mark’s Off Road Safari Adventures are one of the best in Australia. If you are interested in a personalised small group tour get in contact with Mark on (07) 4128 2049 or visit the website on http://www.tourcapeyork.com.au/ He’s a pretty cool guy and will look after you.
If you have an off-road truck and have a project in mind – be it commercial or recreational – get in touch with Unidan. We can bring your ideas to life in 3D Cad, prepare a detailed quote with no surprises and work with you to get off road sooner.
