UNIDAN NEWSLETTER ISSUE NO.2 - JULY/AUGUST 2016
The Past 2 Months…
These past 2 months have been extremely busy, filled with new projects and some great sales. Here is the July and August overview…
Unidan DOKA – SOLD
Our beloved demo truck is currently under contract. The kids will be sad to see it go but stay tuned as we hope to start creating another awesome toy within the next few months and will track it’s progress for you all to see.
U1300L Krankenwagen – SOLD
UNIMOG U1300L Krankenwagen – This tidy truck has been sold, the owner plans on creating their own personalised expedition vehicle, soon to be rolling around the tracks of Western Australia.
As an ex-fire truck, it is safe to say that this Mog has had a bit of a face lift since we first saw it, with a full Unidan restoration and more custom parts than you can poke a stick at it has caught the attention of another Western Australian buyer. This truck is now sold with some more Unidan customisation to follow in the coming months.
U1700 ADF Mog – SOLD
This single cab sold so quickly that it didn’t get to make it into our “What’s New?” section of the newsletter. Don’t be too disheartened though, if you would be interested in a Mog like this one then be sure to call us up as we will be more than happy to find you a Mog of your own. Unidan has now purchased 3 more of these ex-ADF Mogs which will be up for sale in the coming months, as our newsletter subscribers, you will be the first to know when these are up for grabs. Whether you see yourself exploring every nook and cranny of our spectacular landsapes, you need a Unimog to help with your day to day work life or you just want to have a toy that is bigger and better than all of your mates, we can find the right truck for you. These ADF Crane trucks are an awesome foundation for whatever you may want or need.
Commercial Kitchen and Trailer Combo
Sometimes a Mog just isn’t enough. This truck and trailer have been given the ultimate Unidan treatment. The Unidan slide on “camper body” has been redesigned as a full, stainless steel, commercial kitchen set up with a massive 7 burner gas stove comercial range hood, coffee machine, bread maker, ice maker, custom built water chiller, 2 AC units, stereo, UHF and VHF radios, 2 x 100L freezers and a 500L custom build fridge. To power all this we have installed a 5kva Diesel Onan Generator and 6 x 150watt solar panels and a massive 720AH of AGM batteries . The toy hauler is designed to carry a Military Spec. 110 Landrover, once the Landrover is removed, the trailer has 4 sets of bunks that effortlessly fold down from the side walls, accommodating 8 people in the comfort of air conditioning and this has loads of storage for a long stay. to top it all off we have added a slide out BBQ in one of the huge under body storage boxes. If you are after a truck or trailer along these lines, we use Solidworks professional 3D drafting tools, so we can design and demonstrate any ideas you might have before a single thing is done in the workshop, if you have some ideas we can custom build to your spec or ours.
This Mog is currently owned by a business that specialises in automotive electrical and communications, which explains that the copious amounts of expertly installed electrical gear already installed on the truck. Like any truck bought through Unidan, you can either buy this Mog as is or have us design and modify it to suit your needs. There are endless possibilities to what can be done to this truck whether you want an off road expedition vehicle or need a Mog for your work truck, we can adapt it to suit any possible need.
Unimog Compatible Trailer
There are some rigs that you just cannot beat… This trailer has got to be one of them! Previously, we’ve seen Unimog owner’s, even myself, struggling to pack everything into the back of their truck. You would think that anything you could possibly imagine that you would need to take on your adventures would be able to fit somewhere, right? Well that’s not always the case. When packing for a long stay or with children, we all know how every, “Can we take this?” or “We might need that,” adds up. This trailer would be perfect for this situation as it provides a great amount of extra space for whatever your children or wife insist that they need to bring with them. Not only does it provide an awesome amount of extra space but it will follow a Unimog virtually anywhere, so don’t worry about that creek bed that you need to cross or the seemingly endless trek through treacherous four wheel driving conditions because this trailer will still be in tow when you get wherever it is that you are going.
