This overdrive kit provides everything that you need increase your top end speed by 22% on your SBU Unimog (U1250, U1300, U1700, U2150, U2450 etc.). By installing this kit you will take your Unimogs top speed from 86km/hr at 2700RPM to 100km/hr at 2350RPM (with the 395/85R20 tyres fitted)! Everything is included in this kit, including fitting instructions, ready for you or your mechanic to fit it to your vehicle!

This has been one of the most highly sought after upgrades for the Unimog since we began business, with great upgrades to both speed, fuel economy, RPM (noise), without impeding the lower end gearing of the Unimog.

As this is a splitter gearbox, the unit adds a half gear between each gear which is great for towing and these half-gears can be pre-selected for a much quicker down change or increase in speed (in or out of overdrive), this is extremely useful on steep inclines or traffic. 

Please note: This high-speed overdrive can only be fitted to Unimogs without a PTO box. If you are removing your PTO box to fit the overdrive then your tailshaft will not need to be modified, however if you don't currently have a PTO then you will need to get your tailshaft shortened when fitting the overdrive.
